My younger sister's birthday just passed and every year I let her pick a movie she wants to see and I take her to see it. This year she picked Life As We Know It, starring Katherine Heigl and Josh Duhamel. Although, the trailer to the movie basically explains the whole entire storty in about two and a half minutes, I was impressed with the film in general.
The movie was your typical "chick flick" and a perfect movie for two sisters to go and see. After watching Katherine Heigl in Grey's Anatomy for the last six-plus seasons the show has been on air, I have become a huge fan and seem to enjoy almost everything she has starred in. She seems to be one of the biggest up and coming stars of the last few years and this movie definitely provided her with the perfect role that really seems to suite her personality.
The viewer watches as two god parents who are not romantically involved at all at the time have to take custody of their good friends daughter after they pass away. It shows how something so important can bring two completely different people together and form such a strong relationship.
Although this film is not a thrilling or huge blockbuster hit, it has a very cute story line and was very enjoyable. I would suggest this movie to anyone who enjoys a lighthearted, funny and heart wrenching story. Having said all this, I would rate this film a 7.5 out of 10.

The Social Network
After I first saw the trailer for The Social Network I was immediately intrigued to go and see the movie. I was finally able to do so this past weekend and must admit that it completely exceeded my expectations. It is easy to understand after seeing the movie why it topped the U.S Box Office for two weeks in a row.

The Social Network is an extremely entertaining film, but also is very educational. It gives viewers some knowledge on Facebook, a social network which has completely changed how people communicate with each other all over the world and it also gives some insight into an entrepreneurial environment which is a growing fad in our society today.
On a scale of one to ten I would rate this movie a 9.5. I would also highly recommend it to anyone looking to go see a good flick.
